Fresh start

welcome to my real woman blog: for all ladies (and those who love and support them) interested in optimal health, fitness and well-being. In up-coming blogs, I'll be posting info on how to feel
and look your best.

First thing I want to know: how do you define optimal health? Is it how you feel physically? How you look? Your energy level?

What a great thing! I'm so glad you've started this blog. Optimal Health: I think for me, it's definitely a feeling tied into a few specifics. Regular and vigorous activity keeps me physically healthy but also emotionally in good shape and that's a big motivator for me. Eating well which involves cooking for myself (mostly from Cooking Light magazine!) vs. eating out. Eating quality food and enough of it so I'm discouraged from overeating. And a sleep schedule that let's me feel well rested. And time outdoors! Well, that's my first pass at what optimal health means to me personally. Oh, and one more thing I guess... more relaxation! Meditation and yoga which I haven't made time for in my life lately. But it's on the list. :)
